Opening ceremony of the Tajik national teahouse in Austria

On July 3, 2024, in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt, which has been a sister city of Dushanbe since 1972, the re-opening ceremony of the Tajik national teahouse took place in the Minimundus miniature park.

The official ceremony was attended by a Tajik delegation led by Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Dilbar Odilzoda, Deputy Mayor of Klagenfurt Alexander Thomas Kastner, officials of the Klagenfurt municipality, as well as compatriots living in Klagenfurt and its surroundings.

During the event, the Tajik national dastarkhan was served in the teahouse and national dishes were offered to the guests. Tajik music and an exhibition of national folk crafts were also presented.

This event will contribute to the further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as an important part of the development of good relations between Tajikistan and Austria.
